District Heating project CBA in Kozani, Northern Greece

VIS supports the Municipal Enterprise for Water Supply and Sewerage of Kozani (DEYAK) by executing a financial analysis, a cost benefit analysis, and a detailed feasibility study, as well as by developing a state aid notification for DG Competition, all necessary items for securing the financing support of the project.

CBA & CBCA support to major energy infrastructure project

VIS has been commission by an international consortium to support it with the CBA and CBCA modelling and analysis. This will be the basis for a potential follow up grant application to the Connection Europe Facility (CEF)

Support to RAE for the development of a framework for appraising gas distribution development plans

VIS is providing support to the Greek Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) for the development of a framework to appraise investments included in the 5-year network development plans submitted by the Greek gas distribution system operators. The assignment includes development of a template for the submission of the NDPs, the methodology for appraising the constituent investment projects and the process for monitoring the NDPs’ implementation.

Re-inventing energy efficiency for businesses

VIS is participating, along with Public Power Corporation of Greece (PPC) and DRAXIS, in a consortium led by INTRACOM TELECOM, an Athens-based global telecommunication systems and solutions vendor, in the framework of a sophisticated research program aiming to apply statistical and machine learning techniques on large energy consumption datasets, collected and managed by an end-to-end IoT environment. This way, electricity suppliers will gain better insights into their customers’ energy consumption patterns and will be able to provide more detailed and accurate advice to their customers on how to reduce their energy consumption. This research project is Co‐financed by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union and Greek national funds through the Operational Program Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, under the call RESEARCH– CREATE - INNOVATE (project code: Τ2ΕΔΚ-04565)

Market Due Diligence for DEPA Commercial

The Greek State launched a tender process for the sale of DEPA supply (publicly owned incumbent natural gas supplier of Greece). VIS is supporting a shortlisted investor to perform the necessary market due diligence of DEPA Supply. The support focuses on market analysis and assessment as well as the potential going forward outlook and growth prospects.

Regulatory and Market Due Diligence for DEPA Infrastructure

In mid-2020 the Greek State launched a tender process for the sale of publicly owned gas distribution networks (DEPA Infrastructure). VIS, is taking part in the performance of regulatory and market due diligence of DEPA Infrastructure, on behalf of one of the shortlisted investors. The support includes analysis of the Greek regulatory framework and gas market, assessment of the gas distribution development plans, overview of growth prospects of gas distribution in Greece.

Socioeconomic Cost-Benefit Analysis for Green & Blue Infrastructure

The main objective of the assignment is to analyze the socioeconomic context of areas in which Green & Blue investments will be made and assess the potential benefits from those interventions. VIS will identify the functions served by the proposed G&B investments and will use quantitative methods to assess and measure the potential socioeconomic benefits.

Αnalysis of Poseidon Pipeline economic impact (IGI Poseidon)

Provision of services to IGI Poseidon for the analysis of Poseidon Pipeline’s economic impact, highlighting the differences under different regulatory regimes and commercial arrangements. The results of the analysis will be used by IGI Poseidon in interactions with the regulatory authorities and other stakeholders.
