VIS, in collaboration with Ramboll and Asprofos, participated in a key European Commission project aimed at supporting the Administration for Reserves of Energy-Generating Products in Serbia. The project’s objective was to optimize the management of Serbia’s emergency oil stockholding system and assist the country in progressively meeting the stock level requirements set by the relevant EU directive.
VIS contributed by defining datasets and collecting critical information for assessing required storage capacities, conducting detailed mapping of domestic and imported oil supply infrastructure, and developing a versatile, user-friendly Excel-based model to simulate storage and supply flows based on demand profiles. Additionally, VIS designed scenarios and sensitivity analyses to support strategic infrastructure development planning for Serbia’s emergency oil stock system.
