Feasibility Study for District Heating Infrastructure in Kozani, Greece

VIS was commissioned by the Public Irrigation and Sewerage Enterprise of Kozani (DEYA Kozanis) to develop a feasibility study ensuring the continuity of district heating services in the region, following the planned decommissioning of lignite-based power plants under Greece’s 2019 National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP). The study included a comprehensive financial and socio-economic assessment of the required investments for new infrastructure. VIS also supported DEYA Kozanis in successfully applying for multimillion-euro subsidy funding through national and European sources.
