Evaluation of the impact of PCIs implementation

VIS participated in this EC DG Energy study, aiming to assess the electricity and natural gas Projects of Common Interest (PCIs) contribution to the EU policy objectives and their impact on the energy supply chain. The PCIs’ impact was assessed over a short-term and mid-tern horizon. The extent to which the PCIs contribute to meeting the targets of electricity interconnectivity and diversification of gas supply was also examined. The analysis also examined the costs associated with the delayed implementation of the PCIs and insufficient interconnection of networks up to 2030.
