VIS was commissioned by PwC to lead the workstream on enhancing corporate and market governance for the Egypt Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) and its affiliated companies, as part of a broader reform project. The assignment aimed to strengthen governance structures, improve financial management, upgrade financial forecasting models, and build institutional capacity within the electricity sector.
VIS conducted a comprehensive gap analysis, reviewing the regulatory and institutional landscape and identifying barriers to governance reform. The team proposed detailed action plans based on EU best practices, developed a full Corporate Governance Code, operational and commercial KPIs, and recommendations to improve transparency, accountability, and organizational efficiency. Activities included institutional mapping, process optimization, training needs assessment, benchmarking against international standards, and the development of a reform implementation roadmap to support EEHC’s transition towards modern, efficient corporate governance practices.
