VIS participated in a research consortium led by INTRACOM TELECOM, alongside PPC and DRAXIS, to develop an advanced platform leveraging statistical and machine learning techniques on large-scale energy consumption datasets. The project aimed to enhance electricity suppliers’ understanding of customer consumption patterns through an end-to-end IoT environment, enabling them to offer more accurate, personalized energy-saving recommendations.
Co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and Greek national funds under the “RESEARCH–CREATE–INNOVATE” program, VIS contributed to the development of machine learning algorithms, needs assessment for electricity providers, data collection platform design, and evaluation of results. The team also supported the formulation of a commercial rollout plan for the solution.
