VIS, as subcontractor of IBF Expertise, has been awarded an assignment by the European Investment Bank (EIB) under the Advisory Services framework (Lot 2 – Energy) to support the Nordic Hydrogen Route project.
The assignment focuses on strengthening the analytical basis of a cross-border hydrogen infrastructure project in the Nordic region, with a view to supporting investment appraisal and funding decisions. The work includes the validation of project risks, benchmarking of comparable infrastructure projects to identify bankability improvements, and the refinement of cost-benefit analysis in line with both ENTSOG and EIB appraisal methodologies.
The study follows a structured approach linking risk assessment, commercial structuring and socio-economic evaluation, ensuring internal consistency across assumptions and analytical outputs. VIS is responsible for the economic and regulatory analysis, including the assessment of risk allocation, the development of bankability-oriented recommendations, and the structuring of cost-benefit analysis aligned with EU frameworks and EIB standards.
