VIS, as part of an international consortium, supported ACER with the EU-wide analysis of conditional (in terms of firmness and allocability) firm capacity products offered by gas transmission system operators in the EU, in accordance with the requirements of the Regulation (EU) 2017/459 (Network Code on Capacity Allocation Mechanism, CAM NC). VIS carried out an analysis of the gas transmission access rules at each Member State, to identify the cases in which conditional capacity products were offered. Provision of a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the use of conditional capacity products, their advantages and disadvantage. The key findings focused on the application and impact of the conditional products.
