Regulatory technical services for the natural gas sector for the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia

VIS was commissioned by NARUC, with USAID funding, to provide technical assistance to the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of the Republic of Armenia on matters relating to the development of the natural gas market. The assignment comprised three distinct activities: (1) preparation of a methodology and code for calculation of technical losses in the gas transmission system, in line with international practices, (2) design of reporting requirements and templates for gas stakeholders, and (3) development of a a long-term joint gas and electricity demand forecasting model, to be used by Armenian stakeholders to formulate annual and peak demand projections up to 2030.
