VIS conducted a comprehensive study on the implementation, availability, and adoption of dynamic electricity price contracts across the EU, Norway, and the UK. The project examined the infrastructure and market conditions enabling dynamic pricing, such as the deployment of smart meters, and identified commercial challenges affecting uptake. Through quantitative modeling, the study assessed the societal and environmental benefits of dynamic tariffs compared to standard offers. Drawing from real-world data and stakeholder consultations, the study delivered evidence-based recommendations on the potential advantages of dynamic pricing for consumers and suppliers.
